Re-enforce A Smile
Your teeth take a lot of punishment just from everyday chewing. If your teeth contain fillings and restorations, that continued stress can wear and erode them over the years. Instead of placing a crown over the entire tooth, a custom-fitted inlay could be the solution.
An inlay covers only the center of the top tooth surface between the cusps, or bumps, on each corner of the tooth. The onlay stretches over the top and goes down the side of the tooth. Inlays can be made from gold, which is a good choice for the molars, or tooth-colored porcelain or a composite resin in the smile zone.
